Linenfold Pattern - (Furniture Decoration)

Linenfold Pattern - (Furniture, Decoration) The decorative device for panel enrichment (variously termed drapery and parchment-scroll pattern) appears in the carved work of French and Flemish artists about the middle of the fifteenth century. The vogue in England lasted from the last quarter of the fifteenth century to the middle of the sixteenth.
