Library Table - (Furniture) A writing-table, especially, of twin pedestal type, specifically made for the library from the middle of the eighteenth century. A distinct type, circular or square, supported by a single pedestal with winged legs, and having space in the frieze for books (a single shelf right round the table in fact), was made at the end of the eighteenth century.
